MoFo Delights Raises news 2022 virson law

Associates won’t be cursing out this Biglaw firm — not after they all just got big-time raises!

Of course Morrison & Foerster matched the latest round of associate raises — they aren’t mofos, if you know what I mean. Plus, you know, the firm made $1,165,000,000 in gross revenue last year (making it 34th on the Am Law 100), so it’d be in pretty bad form if they opted to sit out the latest in compensation wars.

The new salary scale at MoFo is as follows, effective July 1:Class of 2021: $202,500
Class of 2020: $205,000
Class of 2019: $215,000
Class of 2018: $240,000
Class of 2017: $275,000
Class of 2016: $305,000
Class of 2015: $330,000
Class of 2014: $350,000
Class of 2013 and senior: $365,000

And summer associates will also see the benefit of these raises (matched to the class of 2021).

Biglaw firms have been matching new compensation schemes left and right since January, so associates at firms that have been silent on salaries this whole entire time are getting pretty antsy. Where’s the

money, you mofos? Well, at one firm that

literally goes by MoFo, the money has finally arrived.

Morrison & Foerster — a firm that’s colloquially known as MoFo — announced a Cravath match yesterday afternoon, and associates are pretty pumped. This is what
the new salary scale looks like at the firm:

Morrison Foerster covers the full range of contracting and public procurement work. Assisting clients in their regulatory and contractual needs, the team enjoys a strong reputation in their bid protests and M&A work, with tech companies in particular considering the team as the first port of call in part to the firms San Francisco presence and IP and cybersecurity expertise. More impressively, the team has a number of practitioners with security clearance, handling complex classified and sensitive matters, as well false claims litigation and classified contracts matters. The Washington DC-based team is led by Alex Ward, Tina Reynolds and Kevin Mullen, who focus on bid protests; the tech industry and cybersecurity; and bid protest litigation respectively. David Churchill is trusted by some of the country’s largest contractors, and Damien Specht has expertise in contract transactions and M&A.
